For 2020 some of the predicted kitchen design trends include:

  • Natural stone and stone effect- from stone effect floor tiles creating a stunning floor that will impress any visitor, to solid stone worktops and stone effect materials, kitchens in 2020 will be focused on natural elements. Marble counters and splash backs, and slate and limestone will be incredibly popular, as will the less expensive, more practical, stone effect options.
  • Dark colours- Dark kitchen colours will become more popular during 2020. from wall and floor tiling, to dark kitchen cabinets and accessories, there are a number of ways to add a dark, serious effect to your kitchen that can be bold, dramatic and stylish.
  • Double kitchen islands- open plan kitchens have become the pinnacle of stylish, modern kitchen design. And as part of this, the kitchen island is an essential component. During 2020 it is predicted that we will see more kitchens using the double kitchen island method for additional storage and food preparation spaces, around the open plan kitchen area.
