Bathroom refurbishment, complete or partial
A whole bathroom back to bare walls, or just the parts that have had their day. We supply and fit suites, showers, furniture and tiling, and convert baths to low-level showers for easier access.
Everything the room needs, from one place
We undertake complete and partial bathroom refurbishments, including the supply and installation of everything below.
New WCs
Close-coupled, back-to-wall and wall-hung, with concealed cisterns where the wall allows.
New wash hand basins
Pedestal, semi-pedestal, countertop and vanity basins, with the brassware to match.
Bathroom units and storage
Fitted and modular furniture that hides the plumbing and gives you somewhere to put things.
Heated towel rails
Chrome, black and anthracite rails, plumbed into the heating or run as electric-only.
Shower trays and enclosures
Quadrant, rectangular and walk-in, including low-level trays for easier access.
Shower valves and fittings
Thermostatic valves, rails, rainfall heads and everything behind the wall to run them.
New baths
Straight, shower and freestanding baths, fitted, boxed in and sealed properly.
Wall and floor tiles
Hundreds of ranges in the showroom next door, cut and fitted by our own tilers.
Do the whole room, or only what needs it
Some bathrooms want stripping back to bare walls. Others just need a new suite, or a shower that works properly, and the rest can stay exactly where it is. We are happy either way.
Swap the bath for a shower you can step into
For improved accessibility, we can remove an existing bath and replace it with a new low-level shower tray. It makes getting in and out easier and safer, and it turns an awkward corner of the room into a modern, practical showering area.
What the conversion can include
Taken as a package so the whole area is finished together, rather than a new tray sitting against old tiling.
“The workmen were extremely efficient, polite and friendly. They arrived on time and worked quickly, and kept us informed constantly of the progress. The bathroom refit was finished faster than we expected.”
“A great company from start to finish. Staff in the showroom were knowledgeable and helpful. The plumbers, electricians, tilers and plasterer were polite, professional and keen workers. And I have a stunning bathroom at the end of it all!”
“We are really pleased with our new bathroom from Homematas. Great service from the team, we would happily recommend them.”
Refurbishment questions
Do you do partial bathroom refurbishments?
Yes. If the layout and the tiling are sound and you only want a new suite, or only a new shower, that is a job we are happy to take on. You do not have to do the whole room.
How long does a bath-to-shower conversion take?
Usually two to three days, covering the tray, enclosure, valve and tiling. It takes longer if the floor needs building up or the waste has to move.
Will a shower tray fit where the bath was?
Nearly always. Trays come in bath-length sizes, so the footprint of the room stays the same and nothing else needs replanning.
Can you fit grab rails and a shower seat?
Yes, and we fix them into proper noggins rather than plasterboard, so they take real weight. Tell us who is using the room and we will plan around them.
Do you supply the tiles as well?
We do. The tile showroom is in the same building as the bathroom displays, so you can hold the tile against the suite before you decide, and our own tilers fit them.
